BONKQUE
Brooklyn Art Haus, New York, NY
Hosted by Brooklyn Art Haus
BONKQUE the clown loves everything but performing. This is his show. This participatory encounter with BONKQUE features the travelled clown bumping and Bonkqueing into rules of stage, life, and the attention economy. Charmingly inept and earnest in equal measure, the uniquely charismatic host weaves audience participation, prop shenanigans, and ecstatic soundmaking into a feat of collective clown presence ready to meet the present. Bonkque will share all of his skills (none), his many interests (whatever is in front of him), and also his kazoo — if he remembers he has one. He would love to meet you. Bonkque the clown is managed by international comedian and attention activist Dora Graham, graduate of Vassar College, host of Bechdel Exam Comedy, and producer of the off-broadway work For Tender. Based in NYC and France, they are on creative teams bound for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
